Apple iPad 3 is going to be a reality very soon. Reports suggest that Apple has been reminding its suppliers in Taiwan and China to expedite the production and supply of iPad 3 components. Reports suggest that Apple is working overtime to bring out a perfect 9.7-inch, 2048 x 1536 pixel display for its forthcoming tablet.
Apple shipped 11.12 million iPad units in the last quarter. It was close to 2 million units more than the previous quarter. Apple wants to keep the dominance at the same level or even increase it further. Android tablet producers on the other hand are unable to match the quality of iPads, though they are launching cheap tabs that may help increase their market share when it comes to tablet market.
A report in the Wall Street Journal says that Apple has placed orders for more than 1.5 million iPad units. It goes on to suggest that “Suppliers will ramp up production and try to improve the yield rate for the new iPad in the fourth quarter before its official launch in early 2012”. Apple wouldn’t like to see its dominance come down in the market so fast. And so it is trying to bring out something that cannot be matched by its fledgling competitors in the market.
